Tina Cook and her husband Tom live in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania.  She has two step-sons Sean and Ethan.  Tina first wrote a short story several years ago, loosely basing the characters on her fire-fighting husband and some of his friends.  Last year, she decided to take the story to the next level and The FireHouse Gang was born!  Tina has been a fire fighter for 14 years and enjoys teaching children about fire safety.

Christopher A. Starkey, Illustrator

Christopher A. Starkey lives in Beaver County, PA along with his wife Nikki and their three children Jaret, Caleb, and Alexia. Chris comes from a Fire and Ems background joining his local volunteer fire department just like his father, brothers, uncles, and cousins did before him. Chris always had a love for drawing and art and was excited with the chance to illustrate his first book. Chris is a Dispatch Crew Chief for Beaver County Emergency Services and is an EMT with Economy Ambulance Service. Along with teaching first aid, cpr and safety classes, Chris is the training officer for Ohioville Volunteer Fire Department. With the little free time he has, Chris likes to spend time with his family camping and rooting on the Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers.
